CHARACTERISTICS:
Calcined mineral coal granules.
The product does not provide carbon potential, only protection against oxidation.
OPERATING RANGE:
Low- and medium carbon steel heating under neutral atmosphere for the subsequent austenitising process prior to quenching, annealing, tempering, etc… where the C potential of the surface is not to be altered.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE:
To be used in conjunction with heat-resistant steel BOXES.
Prepare the boxes by applying at least a 1 cm thick granular layer at the bottom, arrange the workpieces in layers and apply an extra coat of granulate.
The box must be shut and possibly sealed with SLC paste.
NOTES:
While being used, the product is partially incinerated; after use, split the ash and restore operations by applying an extra coat of product. The product can be used until being fully incinerated.
SAFETY STANDARDS:
While hot working is in progress, coal generates small amounts of carbon monoxide. Therefore, it is recommended to work in appropriately ventilated facilities. Put on GLOVES and PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT before handling the product.
Coal does not contain hazardous substances.
